Queer Birthwork and Postpartum Support
Re-imagining care through the first 8 weeks of life.
Sprout and the Bean strives to provide inclusive, equitable,
and trauma-informed care for new parents.
Let’s dream new ways of community care into being.
About me
Welcome to Sprout and the Bean! My name is Frankie (he/him). I am a transmasculine community mental health volunteer, social work student, and postpartum doula. I have completed a 32-hour DONA International Approved Postpartum Doula Skills with Lactation for Doulas training at The Simkin Center at Bastyr University.
My hope is to transform the field of birth and perinatal support by centering the needs and lived experiences of communities and identities underrepresented in mainstream birth care. I am here for queer, transgender, neurodiverse birthing people across racial and class divides. My intention is to draw from the tradition of radical mental health advocacy in order to foster maximum self-determination as well as community building for marginalized parents. Let’s connect!
